Here’s my top tip for getting your company’s website found on Google.
Everyone wants to be “at the top” of Google search results.
Some have gone to the next step, and know which words or phrases they want to be at the top for.
But what fewer people realise, is that it’s actually possible to get data on which words and phrases people are already searching for.
“it’s actually possible to get data on which words and phrases people are already searching for”
For example, you may find that 7,568 people are searching for “portable electric hoist”… or that 9,605 people are searching for “lavender scented candles” (or something more specific to what you sell) each month.
Ask your Web Strategist to find this data for you. That way you can find out what kinds of searches people are doing for products like yours – and what variations of your products they are most interested in.
Part of the key to getting people (and the right kind of people!) to your website is having targeted content that will show up for the searches that people are already doing. That way you can tap into existing demand.
This is one of the techniques used as part of “Search Engine Optimisation” (SEO) which can help you get visitors to your website – visitors who are interested in (and already searching for!) exactly what you sell.
Once you get them to your website, you’ll face another challenge, which is how to get them to choose you! That’s where building trust comes in.
